The turbo on my 2014 WRX was nearing the end of its life, so I decided to replace it with this IHI turbo. Installation was straightforward, with no surprises. This is the exact same turbo that Subaru uses, just without the inflated price tag for the Subaru logo. Since IHI manufactures the turbos for Subaru anyway, it makes no sense to pay more.

After installing the new turbo and taking my WRX for a spin, I was absolutely blown away. I expected an improvement, but the boost in acceleration and power was far beyond what I imagined. It felt like my car had been completely revived! The responsiveness was addictive—I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face as I effortlessly weaved through traffic.

If your WRX’s turbo is showing its age, don’t hesitate. This IHI turbo is a no-brainier.
